Spell Bound (A Hex Hall Novel) Review
Written by: Yuri Azirovi
Rachel Hawkins is the author of Spell
Bound, the sucessful
novel series of the Hex Hall. This English Novel which has 352 pages was
published by Hyperion Book CH on February 5, 2013. Even though Spell Bound has
hundreds pages, it is not a thick novel. The shipping weight is only 13.8
ounces with dimensions 0.7 x 5.5 x 8.3 inches. Rachel Hawkins wrote this novel
for the teenager with age range 12-18 years old. In fact, many adult people
love this novel very much. ISBN-13 of
this novel is 978-1423121404.
Sophie
is going through another identity crisis. This
girl has more issues with their identity than anyone else. Still, Sophie is
strong and doesn't let it get her down. Sophie has returned and she is
in a bit of a pickle. Powerless, after the council bound her magic. Alone,
after leaving the destruction of Thorne Abbey, and unaware of what is become of her family and friends. One liners abound, Sophie sets out to
find her mom, instead she finds a whole other side of her heritage.
Unfortunately
the impromptu reunion does last, as the former students of Hecate Hall find themselves magically lojacked. Turns
out Hex Hall has reopened and lets just say that they have let the place go. Spell Bound was a
surprise. Mostly because it does not go where you expect it. Much of the
story lines built in the last book resolve themselves without any help from the
heroine. The book's plot works well in closing
out the series, though I doubt anyone will like the ending.
I think this novel is pure of awesomeness.
I really like the way Rachel
Hawkins describes the story to
make us realize and feel involve in this story with full of expressions. It is
an amazing novel. From the cover of this novel, we can see that a girl who is
holding a sword with creepy. It ties into the story.
Spell Bound makes the readers develop their imagination to understand and feel
like they involve in it. However, the weakness of Spell Bound novel is the
vocabulary. Because my language is not English, it is difficult enough for me
to understand some meanings in that story. All over, I think it is an amazing
novel.
I
recommend this novel to everyone in the universe. The characters and the plot
are really remarkable. I like the way Rachel Hawkins finished
off the series with a bang. This novel gives us some moral values about the
complicated relationship and how the parents are the most important thing in
life. For all of teenagers and adults who like reading novels, I recommend this
one for you. That is for sure.
